Last week we talked about topic cluster methodology and pillar pages, so now we’ll move to structuring your editorial calendar with these pieces. This HubSpot blog post covers pillar pages and topic clusters from soup to nuts  — then provides 5 steps for how to structure your editorial calendar to optimize for search.

Why this matters...

You might be out-of-the-loop in some conversations about Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, and all the other social networks. You know what they are, but don’t have the time to stay up-to-date on all the latest changes. So, here are 5 new Facebook updates that most users aren’t even aware of yet!

Why this matters...

Other than just to impress your kids, staying in-the-know can help improve your nonprofit marketing strategy. Potential donors are all over social, and it’s crucial that your organization develop marketing strategies that leverage these new features in conversion-centric ways.

PERSONALIZED INTERACTION IS STILL IMPORTANT:

Essential marketing tip: Don’t forget about human interaction. At core of your mission statement, it’s still all about the people. You are aiming to serve others in the best way that your organization can – so be personable. Interact with donors, volunteers, everyone you can in order to spread brand awareness and the good that your nonprofit is doing.

Why this matters...

Warning: Your organizational identity is not just your name and logo. Potential donors are looking at your constituents, your board of directors, every detail about your organization. Don’t let them find a reason not to love what you do and the people that help you do it.
