YOU’VE MADE A WISE CHOICE, DID THE EMOJI LEAD YOU HERE? Here’s a list of the emojis that can increase your click-through rates. Emojis may seem childish or silly to you, but if they’re increasing email opens we bet you’ll be able to find a way to accept them. HubSpot has broken down emojis into a few different lists that highlight the goal of the emoji – most popular, click-through, and engagement.

Why you should care: It’s similar to what all parents say to their kids, “because I said so” only this time it’s the “because the data said so.” This article does more than list the emojis, it gives you the data behind it all with several explanations. Sometimes a light/funny tone can be a refreshing change of pace to the usual emails – give it a try and let us know how it goes!

THE PRIVACY YOU WANT, ALSO MAKES YOUR JOB HARDER: Most people would like to keep all their personal data in their own hands, and for the most part they’ll be able to do that now. So, how will GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) impact your mobile marketing? With less targeting criteria and consumer data made available to marketers these days, marketing will only becoming more challenging.

Why you should care: There is one way to get personal information from your prospective students – make them submit a form for something they really want. What do they want, that makes giving up their information worth it? Long-form pages, eBooks, or the remainder of an in-depth video that helps them further understand their field or your university. Why you should care: As the story features become more and more adopted, your student recruitment strategy should begin to utilize them to increase potential applicant engagement.
