With Snapchat's Dropping Stock Price, They Should Rename It "Fall Street"

Posted on Aug 28, 2017

WITH SNAPCHAT’S DROPPING STOCK PRICE, THEY SHOULD RENAME IT “FALL STREET”: The stock price for Snapchat has continued to drop, but there is some good news: Snapchat is still bigger than Instagram for younger U.S. millennials. From ages 18 to 24, Snapchat is third on the list for unique visitors behind YouTube and Facebook. Having a young base of users could mean a promising future for the picture messaging app.

Why you should care: If the younger generations are using Snapchat so frequently then you should be including it in your enrollment marketing strategy. Don’t judge a social app by the trends of their stock price, or you could be missing a big opportunity to grow your inquiry pool. Want to get started with Snapchat ads? Here’s how.

GETTING TO MANY SOCIAL MESSAGES TO KEEP UP? THERE’S A BOT FOR THAT: And those “bots” are called chatbots. These bots allow for automated responses that seem as if a person were holding a conversation with you. They can provide offers, answers to question, and reply in a timely manner, without having to be constantly tinkered with or restructured. Here’s HubSpot’s Beginner’s Guide to Designing a Chatbot Conversation.

Why you should care: Potential applicants across all of higher education are very likely to be active on social media, and if they have a question or want to communicate with your university they may look to do it from a social account. Developing a chatbot allows your enrollment marketing team to be able to interact with students, without actually having to take a huge chunk out of their day to answer Facebook messages. Looking for more on chatbots? We’ve got you covered.

YOU MIGHT BE THE REASON YOUR CONVERSION RATE IS LOW: A conversion rate can be low for many reasons, but only a few of them are in your control. First things first, make sure your website is optimized for conversions. These 5 tips should help you determine if you are getting in your own way when it comes to getting conversions on your site.

Why you should care: In order to reach out to potential applicants you often times need their email address —, and one of the best ways to get it is having them submit a form on your site. This shows they’re interested in something you have to offer, and then from there they can be nurtured into starting an application and hopefully become a student.
